Ogallala Commons Playa Classroom

Nazareth, Texas

Funded through grants from US Fish & Wildlife Service and

Texas Parks and Wildlife, this three-sided classroom includes

interpretive panels, a chalkboard, seating and a study

area. A rainwater harvesting system provides irrigation

for a native plant demonstration area. Ogallala Commons

is a non-profit organization that aims to teach children

throughout the Great Plains about conservation and wise

use of natural resources. Prairie Workshop provided

master planning and construction documentation

for the outdoor classroom space and interpretive

trail near Nazareth, TX.
