Gibson Park at the

National Ranching Heritage Center

Gibson Park is located at the visitor entry to the National

Ranching Heritage Center, located in Lubbock, TX.

Bronze steers (each branded with a donating ranch brand)

meander along gravel paths heading toward drinking water,

symbolically represented by Jesus Morales' windmill

sculpture.  The park doubles as a stormwater biofilter,

capturing runoff from nearby parking lots and releasing

it slowly into a downstream lake.

The wheelchair accessible interpretive trail is constructed of crushed and

compacted decomposed granite gravel paving.
