Arroyo Garden at the George Residence

This residential garden celebrates the demolition and removal of the "water loving" suburban front yard lawn and the creation of an arroyo-style rain garden that captures rain water run-off from the house and allows it to infiltrate into the soil.  Tracing the edges of a gravel and stone-lined arroyo are water-wise grasses and shrubs.
